office staff is excellent. The one doctor dr shubin is a terrible doctor. He won't give referrals and can be very aggressive and confrontational,I would not recommend him at all. He is located at the office on Sheridan and university drive.
Careful what permissions you grant Cano Health. I went to Jupiter Cano in 2022 before Cano went private and thought I received quality care from PA Zuleidys. In April 2024 I got a secondary sinus infection and called to make an appointment and could not reach the local office via phone. Since I'm just a few blocks away I walked over and there was another patient there who had also came in to make an appointment. Cano "Health" Is a huge problem and has no credibility. Since Cano "HEALTH" purchased my doctor's office, it has been nothing but trouble, When I call my doctor's office (same phone number as before Cano came into the picture), the Cano people answer the phone and NEVER DO ANYTHING CORRECTLY -- THEY JUST TAKE MESSAGES THAT GENERALLY NEVER GET TO THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE PERSONNEL. Care Quality, and office: I have been going to Cano Health for years on University and the quality of service has decreased. Yesterday left message for doctor that my sugar was high in am, and did not receive a call. I went to Cano Health thinking I was going to get good care. Nothing could have prepared me for the nightmare that it has been to be a member of Cano Health. They take forever to process orders by a specialist they take forever to see you once you get there even if you have an appointment, the doctor is basically an idiot that follows every last thing big Pharma tells him to do. Dr. Idalia Mendez was my primary care at the kendall and 95th loacation. She is arrogant and humilliated me. I am 73 and disabled and this lady is not qualified to deal with elderly seniors , especially if they are sick like me. I have a heart condition and was shut down by this lady stating that her employer limits the time they can spend with a patient to 15 minutes. The Cano Health phlebotomist allowed another patient to watch my bloodwork get drawn. The patient was trying to return a urine sample and instead of giving me privacy she stood in the doorway watching the entire process of my bloodwork get drawn. I have a serious and very private blood disease that I don't want to be shared with anyone and I felt like they put my information at risk of being exposed. If there was a zero that's what the number I would use. The patient is a 92 year old female who is recently diagnosed with dementia. The Dr that saw her knows this and refused to provide medications that would no longer give her the adverse side effects she was dealing with. The one at 8199 N University dr is horrible. Supposedly I had a virtual visit at noon. The sent a link and I waited 20mins. I called them back to make sure I was in the right place and the lady told me that he would call and there is no specific time when, then she hung up!!! Good bye CANO. I understand now why you're filing for bankruptcy.
